Build with the OctaDezx AI agent
Build with OctaDezx: a headless AI agent API with streaming, messenger SDKs for web, React and React Native, Node and Python server SDKs, identity verification, webhooks and MCP.
Status: available (v0.1). OctaDezx gives developers three ways to use the same AI customer support agent that answers on WhatsApp, Instagram, email, voice and the web: messenger SDKs that embed the chat UI in a site or app, server SDKs for Node.js and Python, and a headless Agent API that returns the agent's checked reply for your own UI, optionally streamed. All three share one brain, so escalation, orders, bookings, refund requests, the brand safety check and the multi-step inquiry engine behave the same, and every conversation lands in the same inbox. The JavaScript, React, React Native and Node.js SDKs are published on npm at version 0.1 under the MIT license, and the Agent API and identity verification are live at https://api.octadezx.com/v1. The Python SDK is in early access, and native iOS and Android SDKs are on the roadmap.
Three ways to build
| What it is | Where it runs | Auth | Status | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Messenger SDKs | The pre-built chat UI in your site or app. Identify users, track events, register push tokens. | Browser, React, React Native | Business ID, plus a signed user token for signed-in users | Available (v0.1) on npm |
| Server SDKs | Typed clients for the API. Sign user tokens, verify webhooks. | Node.js 20+, Python 3.9+ | API key (odx_...) | Node: available (v0.1) on npm. Python: early access |
| Headless Agent API | The agent without our UI. Send a message, get the checked reply, render it yourself, optionally streamed. | Your backend | API key (odx_...) | Available (v0.1) |
| Native iOS and Android SDKs | Swift Package and Kotlin library mirroring the web and React Native API. | iOS 15+, Android minSdk 24 | Business ID and signed user token | Roadmap |
Headless Agent API (available (v0.1))
Start a conversation with POST /agent/start, continue it with POST /agent/reply, and read it with GET /agent/conversations/:id. Each turn returns a status (answered, needs_input or handed_off), the reply and any actions the agent filed, read from the database rather than from the reply text. Send Accept: text/event-stream to receive the turn as Server-Sent Events.
Start a conversation
curl -X POST "$BASE/agent/start" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $OCTADEZX_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"message":"Where is my order 1001?","user":{"id":"u_123","email":"jo@example.com"}}'Messenger SDKs (available (v0.1))
The script tag puts the hosted chat on any website today. The @octadezx/messenger package adds boot, show, hide, attributes, events and unread counts, with React bindings, and @octadezx/messenger-react-native shows the same chat in a modal with push token registration. Native iOS and Android SDKs are planned with the same surface.
Script tag (available)
<script src="https://octadezx.com/widget.js" data-business-id="YOUR-BUSINESS-ID" async></script>Server SDKs (available (v0.1))
@octadezx/sdk for Node.js and TypeScript and the octadezx package for Python wrap the Agent API with streaming, the original message endpoints, push device registration, signed user tokens and webhook verification. Turns are never retried automatically, because the agent may already have acted.
Identity, webhooks, MCP and limits
- Identity verification: your server signs a short-lived user token with an identity secret, so the messenger can treat a signed-in user as that user. Available (v0.1).
- Webhooks: HMAC-SHA256 signed events with an outbox and retries, including chat.escalated and order.created. Available, including the conversation.* events from the Agent API.
- MCP server: a standard Model Context Protocol server at octadezx.com/mcp for operators who run support from an AI assistant. Available.
- Rate limits: 60 requests a minute per API key, 30 AI turns a minute per key on the Agent API, with documented error codes.

Frequently asked questions
- Does OctaDezx have an AI customer support API? Yes. The headless Agent API at https://api.octadezx.com/v1 sends a customer message to the OctaDezx agent and returns its checked reply, status and filed actions, with optional Server-Sent Events streaming. It is available at version 0.1, alongside the original /message endpoint.
- What is a headless AI agent API? An API that gives you the AI agent's decisions and replies without its chat interface, so you can render them in your own app, kiosk or support form. OctaDezx's Agent API covers starting and continuing conversations, reading them, statuses, handoff and actions.
- Is there an in-app AI support SDK? Yes. @octadezx/messenger for the web, with React bindings, and @octadezx/messenger-react-native are published on npm at version 0.1.0 under the MIT license. Native iOS and Android SDKs are on the roadmap.
- Is there a Python SDK for customer support AI? Yes, in early access. The octadezx Python package is pure standard library, with sync and asyncio clients, streaming, signed user tokens and webhook verification. It is not on PyPI yet and is coming there; contact us for access.
- Can OctaDezx be used as an alternative to Fin's agent API? OctaDezx offers the building blocks teams usually look for in a headless support agent API: start and reply endpoints, streaming, verified user identity, handoff to people with a reason, actions such as orders and refund requests, webhooks and server SDKs. Evaluate it against your own requirements; this page makes no claim about other products.
- How do I install the SDKs? The JavaScript packages are on npm: npm install @octadezx/sdk, @octadezx/messenger, @octadezx/messenger-react-native or @octadezx/adk. The Python SDK is not on PyPI yet; contact us for early access.
